![]() First, they will try to sell you a membership, but when I told them exactly what I needed to know, they answered fully. I was able to get some good information from them when I called recently. ![]() I have no idea why they are demanding you pay in advance, but it seems to be part of what I said above.ĭo call Vidanta on their 800 number on the upper right corner of their website. It actually might benefit you to pay the Fees ahead (as long as they are only charging you what you expected) - in order not to get caught in their next Resort Fee increase. They have priced us and others out - 2020 was the last year of reasonable Resort Fees, for us. We carried our paperwork and were charged the previous Fee, as confirmed in writing.Ī few thoughts: Vidanta is getting much more exponentially greedy and aggressive, in those Fees - raising them each year. We've had incidents reported here on this forum (it happened to us also) where the current Resort Fees were documented in our paperwork - but the Fee went up before we got there. I tend to use my Confirmation paperwork as my contract, as opposed to anything that shows up afterward. ![]() I'm betting I would not have gotten a refund of the Resort Fees, had I paid 30 days in advance. I'm glad I paid no attention to that (since we'd never done it before) as Vidanta and RCI cancelled our vacation 3 weeks ahead of time, due to COVID. It wasn't a Mandatory Pre-payment but the confirmation did say we should pay our Resort Fees a month in advance, and they told us how to do it. Our last reservation was in May last year at Grand Bliss. ![]() I'll "assume" that the rep you talked to at II said something like: "It has nothing to do with us.we just report what Vidanta gives us.please contact Vidanta itself." That's what RCI has said to me.ĭuring the 12 years we've stayed at various Vidanta resorts, the Resort Fees have grown exponentially from ZERO (12 years ago) to now $600 for a one-bedroom, on my last check. Not this exact one, but I've called RCI on similar issues that showed up in my Confirmation (resort fees) and they always refer me to Vidanta itself. Unfortunately, I know nothing about Interval International, as I book all my Vidanta stays with RCI, but I've had these types of issues before with RCI bookings. Will try to help a fellow Sacramentan (it's my home town). ![]()
